Why Do People Quit Smoking

Every day there are hundreds of individuals who are being diagnosed with Cancer and Disease which many doctors say are a direct result of smoking cigarettes.

But even if you don't believe that story you would have to agree that smoking cigarettes is a costly habit. Being an ex-smoker myself I know what its like scrounging around looking for a few bucks to purchase another packet of smokes.

How much is cigarettes costing you:

I use to be a smoker myself and I am shocked by the huge prices that the average guy on the street is currently being slammed for the cost of purchasing a packet of cigarettes...

Governments don't want you to have the habit so they try to tell you the reason the price is so high, and the reason they load it full of taxes is so you will consider quitting...

yeah right.... like that has anything to do with it.

Most of the cost of purchasing a packet of smokes is actually tax. Smoking is a windfall to any government, its the easiest means for them to collect extra funds.

So they add more tax on cigarettes with the knowledge that smokers will always pay because they are addicted.... It really has very little to do with wanting you to quit.
